♥ Beautiful Baby Jonah ♥

 WOW. For those of you who follow my blog, you are definitely aware of my little technological hiccup that happened last week. It feels really nice to have my computer back and to be processing all of the lovely shoots that have been waiting to be  blogged!

  This weeks Blog extravaganza starts with sweet baby Jonah. This sweet little boy is so dear to me. His mother equally so. It always makes me so warm and fuzzy when I see the love that a new mother has for her baby. I read a quote once that said something along the lines that a "mother is born, from the woman she was and will never be again, as she is transformed"... Ali's mother, Jocelyn has been such a tremendous help and support, I am lucky to have met her so Ali must feel the same way times a thousand. Ali, it feels like saying thank you isn't enough. No words can express how moved I am, really. But in the tradition of societal 'norms' I will say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Enjoy your new little angel, his beauty is beyond measure, as it yours... ♥

♥The McAstockers ♥

I have actually known Lee and Alyssa for about 15 years as we all went to junior high together! Its so amazing and awesome that these two ended up together and their three beautiful girls are a testament to that love. Lee works for BC HYdro and has been working a camp life for a long time. The family decided it was time to move closer to each other, so as they say goodbye to the Comox Valley and head up north closer to Lee's camp, we thought it would make sense to capture the girls in their own neighborhood, playing and doing what kids do best. We simply took a walk about the block and snapped images here and there, trying to capture the natural essence of this lovely family! Lee you are certainly outnumbered by a beautiful crew :) Good luck with everything guys! I hope the move is smooth and peaceful

I met Emily at NIC a few years back so I was thrilled when she called me, wanting maternity photos done of her incredibly gorgeous baby bump. Emily is so much fun, so quirky and sweet and funny! Her man Drew and she have been calling her baby bump "Walter" and I honestly cant think of a cuter nickname. Emily, your warm and bubbly nature make you so easy to hang out with and even more fun to photograph!  Thank you for choosing me to capture this very special time in your life! I look forward to meeting little Walter too!   I also want to thank my friend Chantal. She is the owner of the picturesque property we shot this session at and is also the owner to the Baby Barn Boutique (which is located on the same property at the end of Headquarters road). She sells a lot of home made local baby goods and had some wicked consignment deals too! Please head out there and check it out sometime and mention you heard about her through this blog post :)

Sometimes you meet someone just who effects you. Someone who's gentle nature and brightly-lit smile have potential to make you happy even when things aren't going all that great. Ali is definitely one of these people. She is so graceful, so peaceful. A literal natural beauty so connected and kind, my camera LOVED photographing her and the proofs are plentiful. Actually, this one of the largest portrait session blogs I have ever posted. Ali, knowing you is such a privilege, and you made this session wonderful and fun!  I truly hope you cherish these images as much as I enjoyed taking them and being a part of your journey :)
